| Quite update for Karen's sake...
Hard to believe it's already April! It's almost been a year since graduation and moving down here. It was a challenging year in many ways but such an amazing year! God has been so faithful and has taught me SO much this past year! There is so much I don't even know where to begin!
I'll be with the kids until May 20. Then time to move on. I will miss the kids though- they are so adorable!! Yet I am looking forward to teaching and finally having my own place! I'm going on a missions trip for a week and half to PERU with my church down here(May 21) I'm so excited about that!
For this summer God is faithful and provided a job. I'll be working at a christian preschool down here. THe owner goes to my church and is so sweet. Then God willing I'll be teaching down here in the fall. Pray for that as I'm still waiting to hear back from school. I love this area though and have been able to get involved in church, form friendships, and get to know the area.
So I am very excited to see all that God has in store for the future! He will work out every single detail! His love and faithfulness is amazing!
| Hey everyone. I figured it was definitely time for an update!
It's hard to believe I've been down in Virginia for almost five months now. Time has gone by so fast and my life has changed so drastically. Cedarville seems like a lifetime ago.
God is amazing. The job and everything worked out so well, especially considering it was so last minute. However the first week... month or so was definitely a rough transition. Going from college life with all my friends to a totally new area, job, and basically to being like a stay at home mother of three. The boys are extremely cute- especially the three year old. He tells me every day he loves me and gives me hugs! How can life get better than that?
So while these past months have been rough at times, wonderful at other times it has definitely been a time of growth. I pray God is using this year to help me grow spiritually in Him. I am so grateful that He is ALWAYS here. He never leaves nor forsakes me. His love is new every morning.
More to update later.... :)
| UPDATE: I'm graduating this Saturday!!
I'm moving to DC and starting work Monday!
I am going to be a nanny for a year for a christian family that lives in Virgina, 14 miles from DC. The parents both work in government and they have 3 boys. ages 11, 6, 2 1/2.
They just called and interviewed me last week. It's all kinda fast but it's so neat to see how God has worked it all out. I was able to talk to the boys tonight and they were so cute!
Well, that's all for now... gotta run!
| It's the first day of April... that means only a MONTH til GRADUATION!!!
Anyways besides that exciting news what else is going on. I am done student teaching! It's so nice to be able to sleep and not get up at 5:30! I finished up my phil class last week. So yeah I'm done with college. I've been busy though working, running errands, filling out job applications. But now I also have time to have fun with my friends and did I mention sleep?
I'm going home this Sunday for a couple of days. Then on Thursday (after a lovely dentist appointment at 8 in the morning) I'm going down to Maryland. I have my interview on Friday for the nanny position. I would absolutly love to get that job- it's with one cute little boy and only a year committment. DC is a wonderful location b/c I have friends and family in that area, Philly (where Emily and Mikala are going to be) isn't far. Neither is Virginia Beach (where Naphtali might be). So... we'll see what happens!
Ofcourse I'm excited to spend Easter at the Weavers. It's feels like a long time since I've seen Sarah! Have I even talked to you since Christmas? wow, that's a long time. anyways... besides that...
This weekend. Tomorrow I work all day with banquets and then I tutor my first grader in the evening. Then it's time to have fun at the Adoration Concert. It should be a good concert! Saturday I'm helping out with Junior Jam and then a wedding shower for my friends Sarah and Emily in the evening. All these weddings and wedding showers, I tell ya. They're fun though.
Okay, this is a sufficiant update. More detail than some of you cared to know. I'm off to workout (something else I have more time to do...)
| HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING!
If I was home I would had eaten some dirt today :) My roommate and I went out for icecream though to celebrate the first day of spring. The sun even came out for a while and melted the snow away. My daffadils are in full bloom. They look so cheerful and spring-like! I love them. Their smell reminds me of spring and home... I can't wait until it really starts to feel like spring and flowers start to bloom and grass begins to grow again...
